Our Story
One night, two minds, three deep talks, and four months of collaboration—Voyla is born!
It happened in those final five minutes. Anna's Uber was pulling up, and as she was heading out the door, she threw out a casual question: "Hey, I'm going to Taichung this weekend—know any good spots?" Ray didn't even hesitate. He whipped out his phone, scrolled through a chaotic mess of Google Maps pins, and sent over his buried Taichung list.
That's when it hit us. We weren't the only ones drowning in saved Instagram posts and scattered map pins, desperately hunting for that one place when we actually needed it. We're both spontaneous types who'd rather explore than plan—and we realized everyone who travels does this same messy dance. Right then, we knew we had to build something better—something that magically transforms scattered saves and shared travel inspo into real journeys you can actually take. That's why we created Voyla!, where "voyage" meets "voilà!”
Our Mission
We're here to help you find the places that actually match your vibe.
Whether you're scrolling through Instagram or getting tips from friends, we make it easy to save every spark of inspiration and pull it up exactly when you need it. But we're not just building another list app—we're building your personal taste profile.
Here's the thing: five-star ratings don't tell you if a place is really your place. Everyone's taste is different. That's why we created a unique taste system (think as travel MBTI) that learns what you actually like from how you explore and what you save.
Wherever you go next, you'll know your travel style and find people who get it. We want Voyla to be more than an app—it's your taste identity. You share your Instagram for social life, your LinkedIn for work life, and now Voyla! for your travel life. Every trip becomes a chance to discover places and people that truly click with you.
Meet Our Team
Meet the team behind Voyla! : Anna from Hong Kong and Ray from Taiwan.
Anna left finance to dive into the travel world she's passionate about, determined to create an app that actually solves real problems. Ray comes from an engineering background but thinks like a designer, building tech that feels human, not robotic.
We're both into travel and photography, and we're always sharing our favorite spots with friends. We figured—why keep this joy locked in our phones? Let's build something that helps everyone who loves exploring find their own perfect list of places.
